You can choose any artist, song, or radio station you’d like. Whether it’s your favorite song or one you hate to snap you out of your slumber. Google continuously keeps working towards bringing out the best for its users. It stays nowhere behind in pleasing them with amazing products and their updates. And for all the users who own a Google Home device, they now have another reason to love this technology giant! Googlehas introduced an update for Google Home which allows them to set their favorite song as their alarm tune.
I will be purchasing 1x Google Home and 2x Google Home mini within a month. The Google Home will be placed in the living room a couple of meters away from my Soundbar. I want to be able to use voice commands to wake the Soundbar up to play Spotify, Podcasts, news etc. Since the Soundbar will be connected to the TV via Optic Cable, the TV won't be able to wake it up. I bought a Chromecast Audio but read that it won't be able to wake the Soundbar up either. Set your default music application
Even though Google Home listens to its environment, it can’t act upon the voice command unless you first state its wake-up word. Still, music playing randomly—especially at early hours when all you want is total silence—can be pretty annoying. Over the years I’ve invested time and money into smart home gadgets and hope you take a look around on my journey.
Try inspecting your Google Home routine to see if it’s set to play music randomly. To set an alarm, say "Hey Google, set alarm for 6 AM tomorrow," or swipe up from the bottom of your display and tap Alarms, and then set a time. On Nest displays, you can set alarms to gently wake you up. When a sunrise alarm is set, the screen will gradually brighten until it is time to wake up. If you don’t have a music platform subscription, Google Home will automatically play music from the Google Play Music library. If you have YouTube Premium, your Google Home account can be linked to this music app by default.
Use a Wake-Up Word To Activate Google Home
Of course, for some content, you will need to have a subscription to a service such as Google Play Music, YouTube Red, or Spotify. Click the button with the three dots next to the fast-forward button and click "Set alarm" in the pop-up window. Can I Choose Just One Song?
You can set general alarms, play your favorite music, or choose a character as an alarm with just your voice. Alarms will sound for 10 minutes if not stopped or snoozed. You can set fun alarms from some of your favorite characters for an entertaining and easy way to get your day started.
